Courts built to a standard you can feel

From engineered sub-base to championship line marking, we construct, resurface and maintain premium tennis and sports courts across Gauteng — for private estates, schools, clubs and municipalities.

Resurfacing & restoration

Tired court? Bring it back.

If the base is sound, resurfacing restores grip, colour and true bounce for a fraction of rebuild cost — and most single courts are back in play inside a week.

Complete court solutions

Fencing, lighting and every hour after dark

Correctly tensioned fencing and glare-free LED floodlighting turn a court that is used at weekends into one that is used every evening of the week.

About Ramzey GLM

A court is only as good as what lies beneath it

Ramzey GLM Tennis Court Maintenance (Pty) Ltd is a specialist sports-surface contractor. We construct new tennis and multi-purpose courts, resurface tired ones, and keep both playing beautifully through scheduled maintenance.

Anyone can roll on a colour coat. Very few contractors get the sub-base, the falls and the drainage right — and those are the three things that decide whether a court is still true in fifteen years or cracked in three. We build the parts nobody sees to the same standard as the parts everybody does.

  • Own teams, not subcontracted labour
  • Engineered bases and proven drainage
  • Written, itemised quotations
  • Clean, supervised, safe sites

Client reviews

Rated five stars by the people who play on our courts

Reviews from private clients, schools, estates and sports clubs across our service area.

From the first site visit to handover the professionalism was on another level. The base work was done properly and the finished court is flawless — the bounce is perfectly consistent everywhere. Worth every rand.
Werner van ZylPrivate estate, Midrand
Our netball and basketball courts were unusable. Ramzey GLM resurfaced both, added new posts and remarked everything. The children were back on court in under two weeks and the difference is remarkable.
Nomsa DlaminiPrimary school, Benoni
Four club courts resurfaced with almost no disruption to our fixtures. Clear programme, clean site every evening, and the colour has held beautifully through two summers now.
Grant PetersonTennis club, Pretoria East
They installed new fencing and LED floodlights on our existing court. Court usage in the complex has more than doubled — residents are playing until well after dark. Neat, tidy, on schedule.
Riaan BothaResidential complex, Centurion
We have been on their annual maintenance programme for three years. Reports after every visit, no surprises, and the courts still look like they were resurfaced last season.
Thandi MokoenaHigh school, Johannesburg South
They repaired cracking and a drainage problem that two other contractors had simply painted over. Honest assessment, fair price, and the ponding has completely gone.

Cost depends almost entirely on site conditions — access, ground stability, levels, drainage and how much earthwork is needed — as well as the surface system, fencing and lighting you choose. That is why we do a free site inspection before quoting, rather than giving a number that changes later. You get a written, itemised quotation with no obligation.

A properly constructed court has a base that lasts decades. The acrylic playing surface is the wearing layer and is typically resurfaced every five to eight years. In other words: build the base right once, and you only ever pay for surfaces after that.

Our core service area is Gauteng and the surrounding provinces. For larger projects — multi-court complexes, schools and municipal work — we travel further afield. Send us the location and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

Yes, and we do it constantly. We work on courts of every age and origin. The first step is always an inspection to confirm the base is sound before any surfacing is recommended.

Acrylic systems need dry conditions and reasonable temperatures to cure properly. In Gauteng the autumn-to-spring window is ideal, though we work year-round and simply programme around the weather.

Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed and material warranties from our surface suppliers are passed through to you. The specific terms are set out in your written quotation before any work starts.
